Tim grew up on a farm in west-central Iowa near the town of Harlan where he attended Harlan High School. In 1990 he graduated from the University of Iowa with a business degree in Personnel Management. It was at that time that he felt called by the Lord into full-time ministry. After serving at Okoboji Lutheran Bible camp for 4 years he and his wife Kris moved to Cedar Falls, IA in 1994. Tim took the Campus-Ministry Director position at Orchard Hill Church in Cedar Falls and served as a Chaplain to the UNI football team. He later began serving as a teaching, marriage and family pastor at the church. After 20 years serving there he resigned and took a position as the director of Spiritual Care at The Western Home Communities here in Cedar Falls where he served for 7 years. As a step of faith he and his wife started Inspired Life in the later part of 2020. Tim has now become the director of this new ministry called Inspired Life that focuses on strengthening marriages and families in our state and is working to help shape the hearts and minds of the next generation through vibrant Christian education. Tim also speaks regularly on the Christian Crusaders radio program, at the Cedar Falls Bible Conference, and various other places around the Midwest. He also currently serves as President of the Cedar Falls Bible Conference Board, and serves on the Waterloo Christian School board.
Tim and and his wife Kris have two children, Isaac and Adrienne. Isaac serves as a professional football player, currently residing in Indianapolis, with his wife Katie and two children Clayton and Kiley. Adrienne serves as a teacher and the foundation director at Waterloo Christian School. Tim’s wife Kris runs a store named Barn Happy in a barn on their acreage just west of Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Eric Johnson grew up on a farm in central Iowa. He is a business owner and a third generation farmer. Eric is married to Rebecca and has two kids, Hannah and Alan. They enjoy spending time together as a family, traveling, and doing mission work. Eric has had the pleasure of meeting and connecting with a lot of people in missions and business over the years. Most recently, the Lord brought Eric and Tim Boettger together. They quickly learned of their shared passion for the Lord, sharing God's Word, and helping raise the next generation with a strong Biblical worldview. After a few meetings and prayer, they decided to take a leap of faith and move forward together serving in and leading the Inspired Life ministry.
Walt joined Inspired Life in 2022 after spending three years working for Iowans for Tax Relief Foundation as their Deputy Director. Walt served eight years in the Iowa statehouse representing Cedar Falls and Black Hawk County, where he solidified his reputation as a fiscally responsible legislator. He was elected by his colleagues to serve as an Assistant House Majority Leader in his first term. In 2012, Rogers was one of 17 Legislators around the country named as emerging leaders by GOPAC, an organization that helps train leaders. In 2016, Rogers was appointed by the Speaker of the House to chair the Education Committee where he led an acclaimed effort for local control and streamlining of decisions and funding in public education. Walt's diverse background includes a resume of plant supervisor, Quality Control Director, sales executive, artist and festival management, leadership consulting and Youth Pastor. Walt is married to his high school sweetheart Jenny, a retired Speech Language Pathologist. They have three adult children and 11 grandchildren.
Rebecca Johnson is from rural Iowa and has been married to farmer and business owner, Eric, for 20 years. They have two kids, Hannah and Alan, and enjoy spending time together as a family, traveling, and doing mission work. Rebecca graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2002 with a degree in Mathematics Education. After teaching high school mathematics in public education for several years, she continued to teach while pursuing her love of learning by obtaining a Master's of Arts Degree in Mathematics Education from Western Governors University and a Master's of Arts Degree in School Leadership from Dordt University.
After teaching high school and community college-level mathematics courses for 12 years, Rebecca became the curriculum director and administrator at Timothy Christian School in Wellsburg, Iowa. The Lord gave Rebecca a heart and passion for Christian education and children, and she felt called by God to seek a higher purpose for her professional life. This higher purpose includes working with Inspired Life to expand educational opportunities for parents and children throughout Iowa.
Jenna Boren grew up on a farm in Grundy County, Iowa. After graduating from college, Jenna worked for a large seed company for 8 years. She is now the business specialist for Johnson Seed & Grain Services and Impact Farms.Jenna has become part of the Inspired Life team through working relationships and is mainly working behind the scenes, focusing on bookkeeping.Jenna is married to Brett and has a son, Walker.
Heidi lives in Waverly, IA with her husband Chris and her three sons, Grady, Sawyer and Archie. She enjoys spending time as a family, golfing, running, reading, serving at their church in various capacities and volunteering at her sons’ school. She grew up in Waukon, Iowa before heading to Wartburg College where she received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts (Public Relations) and minors in business and leadership. After college, she held marketing and management positions at Mudd Advertising and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. She then found her passion for education while doing recruiting, event planning and management at Mount Mercy University. It was at this time that she received her master’s degree in higher education from Upper Iowa University. In recent years, she has been able to stay at home with her boys helping to raise them to be the young men that God created them to be.
Amy lives in Grundy Center with her husband, Austin, and son, Devin, who is one of three of their children. Their older children, Dylan and Haylee, are currently in college. Amy graduated from Grundy Center High School and later moved to Virginia Beach, VA where she worked at the Norfolk Naval Base. While in Virginia, she joined the U.S. Marine Corps where she did basic training and supply school. While serving in the U.S Marine CorpReserves, she attended Upper Iowa University for Business Administration and then worked for the U.S Department of Agriculture for 16 years. She now works as a BusinessSpecialist at Johnson Seed and Grain Services and Impact Farms. She also helps organize speaking events at Inspired Life. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, fishing, being outdoors, watching football and going to her sons sporting events.
Adrienne was born and raised in Cedar Falls and is a graduate of Wartburg College. While at Wartburg, she studied Education with endorsements in math and reading and was on the women's basketball team. Adrienne has served at Waterloo Christian School for four years in different capacities but is currently the school's Development director. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, being outdoors, and playing pickleball.
Samantha Fett lives in Carlisle, IA with her husband Josh of 21 years, raising two daughters, Sophia, a graduate of Iowa State University and Cecelia, currently attending Grand Canyon University. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Samantha came to Iowa to attend Drake University in Des Moines, IA, graduating with a degree in journalism and advertising in 2001. After meeting her husband, she fell in love with rural living and decided to make Iowa the place to raise a family. Her and her husband are active members at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, which has a passion for supporting youth in the community.
Samantha has spent 20 years in the media and marketing field, including a leadership position running the Iowa Newspaper Association’s print and digital division for more than a decade. She also runs a marketing firm, Mercury Boost, committed to effective communication through digital channels. Samantha is a former Carlisle School Board member, which is what grew her passion for education and advocating for education solutions for parents in Iowa. She is also the chair of the Moms for Liberty Chapter in Warren County, IA, and she serves as Chair for HACER (Hispanics Aligned for Choice in Education Reform). This August, Samantha announced her candidacy for Iowa State Representative House District 22 for the 2024 election.
